I was asked if there's a difference when I'm using a camera or a cam-phone for my photography... I would think that it's really a genuine question that deserves an honest answer. Yes, honest as in the many replies I've seen & heard that answers only a partial of the question.

For now [yet being able to generalize...], using the cam-phone for photography is still somehow 'restricted' in many ways when we're thinking of 'Doing' Photography. Because it's a by-product that's designed for another purpose. Think 'drinking soup with a straw'... it still gets the job done but it's the process that's irks.

Of course in terms of the art, the picture itself is the answer. And it should be! When Photography that's coming from conceptualizing from an idea, has nothing or very little to do with the tools, it shouldn't be approached & viewed differently in terms of status.

A good picture from a cam-phone doesn't make you a better Photographer just because it's a humble tool, likewise with those gone thru' the film-era phrase doesn't make them competent ones too. But my concern is… when competent photographers chose not to be concern with their photography when using less than impressive tools, taking shabby images as if there are flirting around; Non committed and expecting nothing serious?

So I will reply the question with saying… there's no difference at all when

> Something excites me, I’m on visualizing & conceptualizing mode, I shoot!

> Check Lighting, I’m deciding *Shutter Vs Aperture, I shoot!

> Given another chance, re-group all mind & heart, appraise Structuring, I shoot! Cam-phone or Camera…

*[cam-phone's features similar with camera picture mode]
