Advance Photography

AUG 13th - SEP 2nd 2017

This Advance Photography Course covers sophisticated photographic techniques for those who wish to further your competence skills. Also to explore creativeness, with the opportunity to study challenging professional photographic techniques with full support and expert hands-on session.

A continuation of our Foundation & Intermediate Photography syllabus, with emphasis on exploring the “Technical and Creative aspects” of photography in greater depth.

Intensive Workshop (only recommended to those participants who have completed the Foundation & Intermediate Modules)

A combination of field trips and classroom sessions will hone participants' technique and style towards developing your own natural photographic aesthetic. Throughout the course of 4 weekends, you will work closely with the Trainer to develop three separate projects.

This course is intended for serious photography participants who are able to set aside a minimum of three hours per week for homework assignments, where the following topics will be covered : 

* Four Practical Field Trips (3 hrs/session)
* 4 hrs of PhotoShop Workshop for Photographers (participants to come with your own laptop & software)
* Individual Online Critique
* Exploration of Different Genres – Documentary, Travel, Street & Portraiture

BLACKnWHITE Photography

I first taught this module in 1999 and it's an 18 hours 4 days FULL course that includes B&W films handling, shooting, Chemistry Darkroom film processing/developing/printing. 

But TODAY in this Digital age, B&W photography is as popular as ever, and the good news is that it’s never been easier to create stunning B&W images. Although the process of digital B&W photography is different from film, what makes a good image remains the same. 

To create a B&W image, many photographers simply click the desaturate button and leave it at that, convincing themselves they now have a piece of fine art shot. However, when we start to look at the process of creating black and white images we soon realize that it takes a lot more than that and we have a lot more to think about than just converting to grayscale and adding a nice pretty Ikea frame.

We need to keep our eyes peeled for elements like tonal contrast, strong lines, patterns, shapes and texture. We need to learn to see in grayscale... in other words; Selective Visualisation. 

I'm offering a 4 hrs sessions that includes
1st Session-

* RGB/color tones & it's Effect
* Achieving good Tonal Range
* Effective Exposure-Valuation

2nd Session (field trip) -
* Using camera's different Metering mode

Basic Studio Photography

JULY 2nd 2017

3 hours session 1pm ~ 4pm

Workshop fees S$280

In this 3 hours workshop, 4 participants will be taught on people interaction, with good communication skills, only then will the images stand out from the usual snapshots.

* Understanding Studio Lighting.
* The Usage of Lights & Positioning.
* Placement of the Subjects. (Photo Shoot Session)
